wineyards & castles

This excursion will make you discover Haroué Castle and the Côtes de Toul vineyards.

castleHaroué Castle was built in the XVIIIth Century by the architect Germain Boffrand for Marc de Beauvau Craon, Friend of Duke Leopold of Lorraine.

The castle embelishments were made by local artists like Jean Lamour for ironworks (who also built the gates of Stanislas Square and Carrière Square), or the sculptor Barthélemy Guibal (fountains of Stanislas Square) for the statuary.

The current owner of Haroué Castle is Princess Minnie de Beauvau Craon, descendant of Marc de Beauvau Craon. She will be our guide for the visit.

The Laroppe family started to grow wine in 1722. Since then, 8 generations of wine growers succeded in this particular vineyard which makes the Laroppe family, one of the oldest wine growers around Toul.

The Laroppe House is one of the official suppliers of the Elysée (French Presidency) since 2002.
