We will start with the site of Vaudémont, a typical village from Lorraine, with a look on typical contryside.

Then we will visit Haroué Castle which was built in the XVIIIth Century by the architect Germain Boffrand for Marc de Beauvau Craon, Friend of Duke Leopold of Lorraine.
The castle embelishments were made by local artists like Jean Lamour for ironworks (who also built the gates of Stanislas Square and Carrière Square), or the sculptor Barthélemy Guibal (fountains of Stanislas Square) for the statuary.
The current owner of Haroué Castle is Princess Minnie de Beauvau Craon, descendant of Marc de Beauvau Craon. She will be our guide for the visit.

Then our lunch will take place at the Sion-Vaudémont Hill wich offers a remarquable view from the Vosges Mountains to the 'Côte de la Moselle'. Since prehistory Sion-Vadémont Hill played a strategical role. You will be able to visit freely this historical place and have a look to the art and craft market and Gallo-roman reconstitution.
The last part of our excursion will takes place at Saint Nicolas de Port, more precisely the Basilica. Built in Flamboyant Gothic style, it contains some remains of Saint Nicholas of Myra, presumably at the origin of the legend of Santa Claus and Father Christmas.
